Donor types and services
Today RMA (USA), Create (UK), Livio (Nordics), Generalife (ITA) and Gynemed (PT) are all part of the same group allowing for possible coordination of egg donation depending on customer location and donor preferences. IVI provides both Non-ID Release and ID-Release donors, depending on local legislation and patient preferences: In Spain, donation is anonymous by law, and only Non-ID Release donors are available. In the UK, donation must be ID Release under HFEA regulations, meaning donor-conceived children can access identifying information at age 18. The donor profiles include phenotypic traits, blood group, and medical background. Adult photos are not available, but IVI offers photo-matching services and also uses Perfect Match 360º, an AI-based facial resemblance tool, to ensure phenotypic similarity. Extended written profiles are not listed. Exclusive donors are not offered. The total number of donors is not published, but IVI emphasizes continuous recruitment and a very large, diverse donor pool across its clinics. Donor eggs are available in frozen batches and fresh cycles, depending on patient needs. IVI’s egg donation program includes guarantees of embryo development. In Spain, packages often include a two-blastocyst guarantee, ensuring patients receive viable embryos for transfer.
