Founded in 2010 and now part of Ovation Fertility, MyEggBank (MEB) is one of the largest frozen donor egg banks in North America. Headquartered in the United States, MEB works with an extensive partner network of fertility clinics across the U.S. and Canada, giving intended parents access to one of the most diverse and carefully screened donor databases available. The mission of MEB is to provide intended parents with safe, high-quality, and flexible donor egg options through rigorous genetic screening and advanced reproductive technology. Their vision is to make donor egg treatment more accessible and transparent, while offering personalized pathways for both donors and recipients. With a large and diverse donor database, MEB is especially known for making donor eggs available without long waiting times. Customer care is primarily provided in English, with dedicated coordinators guiding intended parents and donors through the process. International patients receive additional support via affiliated fertility centers abroad.
Donor types and services
MyEggBank offers several donation types, giving both donors and intended parents’ choice in the level of identity disclosure:
Open ID: Donors and recipients may choose to meet and share identifying information.
Semi-Open: Donors may agree to limited contact, such as a video meeting, without full identity disclosure.
ID Release: Donors allow identifying information to be shared with donor-conceived children once they reach legal age.
Anonymous (Non-ID Release): In many cases, donor identity remains fully protected, in line with traditional donor anonymity.
Donor profiles include detailed medical history, education, and personal characteristics such as height, build, blood type, and ethnicity. Profiles often feature childhood photos and personal essays. Extended profiles and adult photos may also be available, depending on the donor. Photo matching is not offered, and exclusive donor arrangements are not provided.
Genetic test panel
MEB uses a multi-step screening process to ensure donor safety and high-quality eggs with genetic screening in two parts:
A certified genetic counselor reviews three generations of family history.
A carrier screening panel tests donors for a broad range of recessive and X-linked conditions, in line with ACOG, ASRM, and ACMG recommendations.
