Donors are sourced through its partner Sperm Donors Australia, as well as overseas partners including The World Egg and Sperm Bank and Seattle Sperm Bank, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations. Addam Donor Bank is part of the City Fertility Group, which also includes City Fertility, Fertility Specialists of WA (FSWA), and Rainbow Fertility. Donor types and services
Addam Donor Bank offers ID-Release donors only and provides comprehensive donor profiles designed to support informed decision-making, accessible through a free registration process. Basic profiles, available to all users, include key physical and background attributes such as ancestry, eye and hair colour, height, and skin tone, all filterable through a search tool. Extended profiles, available once registered, provide much deeper insights, including medical and family history, personality traits, interests and hobbies, education, occupation, lifestyle details etc.
Genetic test panel
Donors recruited before 2019 completed basic carrier screening for three common conditions, including Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Fragile X Syndrome (FXS). Donors recruited after September 2019 must complete an extended genetic carrier screening panel, covering approximately 176 genetic conditions, including Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). All donors also undergo: Comprehensive infectious disease screening. Three-month quarantine and clearance.
