Donor types and services

Xytex offers Identity Disclosure (ID-Release) donors only, ensuring donor-conceived individuals can request identifying information at age 18. Donor profiles include baby and adult photos, family medical history, educational background, personal essays, staff impressions, and audio interviews. Xytex provides donor sperm in IUI and ICI formats, with varying motility levels to suit clinical treatments (IUI, IVF/ICSI) and home insemination where legally permitted.

Genetic test panel

Xytex uses Expanded Carrier Screening (ECS) via Invitae (as of 2023), covering over 500 genetic conditions. In addition, donors are tested for: Cystic Fibrosis (CFTR), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Hemoglobinopathies (Thalassemia, Sickle Cell disease), Fragile X Syndrome, Chromosomal abnormalities (karyotype). Xytex provides donor sperm in IUI and ICI formats, with varying motility levels to suit clinical treatments (IUI, IVF/ICSI) and home insemination where legally permitted.
